Principal’s Message
As we embark on the 2023-2024 school year, we would like to extend a warm welcome to all our returning and incoming students and families of Kingston Secondary School and Module Vanier. Before the school year has begun, we are already a hub of activity, with educators, office staff, and custodians getting the school and learning environment ready for students. We are so excited for the first day of school!
As a Grade 7 – 12 site with multiple learning pathways, it is our hope that each student will be engaged academically at KSS/Vanier. It is also our goal to present opportunities which challenge and broaden our students, whether that be through the fostering of a growing world view, access to the plethora of clubs and activities available to students at different times of the year, or through engagement in our many athletic offerings. We ask our students to take risks in their learning and to fully engage in the life of our vibrant school community.
It is our belief that for students to be ready for and engaged in their learning, they need to feel that they are entering into a safe and inclusive environment. Providing such a space is paramount in the work that we do at KSS/Vanier and we continue to strive to ensure that equity, diversity, and inclusion are a part of our daily ongoing work.
We are so looking forward to the year ahead! Please know that we value student voice and leadership and that we view the partnership with families and our school community as vital to the ongoing success and growth of our learning environment.
