NTS Drama Fest!

Vanier students will be putting on a production of The Imaginary Friends Detective Agency at the National Theatre School DramaFest on Friday, March 27th! This exciting festival takes place at the Thousand Islands Playhouse, and Vanier will be performing at 6:00 pm in the Firehall Theatre. Tickets for the show will be available at the door. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for youth.The Imaginary Friends Detective Agency, by Trevor Suthers, is a heartfelt and humorous play about a teen's search for their lost imaginary companion, which leads them on a journey of adventure and introspection. On average, more than 14,000 meals and snacks were served each week, over 530,000 throughout the year, with weekly food orders reaching approximately $17,500.We are grateful to the dedicated staff who make these programs possible, and to The Food Sharing Project for continuing to support student well-being across LDSB. This support is increasingly important as many families continue to face food insecurity. Graduation marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Ontario schools will continue to focus on helping students build strong foundations in reading, writing and math while preparing them for success beyond the classroom. Pride Month Recognition in Limestone

The Limestone District School Board (LDSB) Education Centre, along with schools across the district, is recognizing Pride Month in the KFL&A region by flying the Progress Pride Flag for the remainder of the school year.The Government of Canada notes that the manner in which the Canadian flag is displayed is not governed by legislation. The guidelines provided are not mandatory for individuals or organizations but are intended to offer general direction.After consultation and clarification from Heritage Canada and communication with trustees, LDSB schools with only one flagpole will fly the Progress Pride flag under the Canadian flag for the balance of this school year.  Limestone’s goal will be to increase the number of schools with more than one flagpole and/or the addition of yardarms to existing flagpoles to display more than the Canadian flag. Until this goal is achieved, we will fly the Progress Pride flag under the Canadian flag at sites with only one flagpole.Displaying the Progress Pride Flag is a way for LDSB to show support for the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
